Beyonce: The Most Beautiful White Woman

April 20, 2009 · 49 comments

beyonce
Aside from her body there’s no way of telling Beyonce and a White female apart these days. From her days with Destiny’s Child to now she has made her own little Michael Jackson transformation.

She is all the rage, why? Because African Americans HATE themselves so much and she is a symbol of the trend “if I can just get a little whiter.”

This is the worst story ever. How are you going to criticize Beyonce because of how she looks. She getting money and doing her thing and all you can do is talk shit about how she’s being “white”. Acting white is the stupidest expression I’ve ever heard. How do you act “white”. The way that people walk, talk, act, dress, etc. has nothing to do with their color. You are an idiot for writing this. Find more news asshole.

Ewbar 04.20.09 at 10:42 am

I never said “act” white. A person CAN choose to make themselves look whiter. Every perm sold is evidence of that.

As far as money goes, I’m getting tired of Black peoples reply always beings “they getting money though.” That’s the current state of mind and the saddest reality. We sold each other to pirates for money. If you don’t see or understand the problem with that type of thinking there’s a SERIOUS problem!

emma 04.20.09 at 10:45 am

this is so stupid is this what people call news these days, btw michael jackson didnt turn white on purpose, atleast mention that he has vitiligo a skin disorder that kills the pigment, instead of making people believe that hes ashamed of his color

Ewbar 04.20.09 at 10:48 am

So his nose job and hair is a result of a skin disorder? Wow, that’s news to me. Thanks for the information!

D 04.20.09 at 6:55 pm

i agree with the post. i’d never say that beyonce “acts white”, because there’s no way for a person of any race to do such a thing, but i will say that when we’re praising a woman who routinely wears straight blonde wigs as being the most beautiful of Black women, there’s a problem. and sure, she’s making money, but the majority of companies she does endorsements for lighten her skin in their ads. making money at the expense of the beauty ideals of your people is some madness. if she weren’t so concerned with making a dollar, she could see how destructive her actions are.

Ewbar 04.20.09 at 7:30 pm

I’m glad someone can see where I’m coming from. I was just on this other website that referred to Beyonce as “the machine”. She is PRAISED by everyone… everywhere, so seeing the truth in this post is beyond most minds.

Jason 04.25.09 at 7:30 pm

Man yall sound like some freaking IDIOTS. And no this is not what is news today, just some bored dude who’s is mad about his wife leaving him for a white guy. !!!!Eww Harsh!!! Let Beyonce be beyonce, she’s undoubtly one of this generations greatest people who has made great changes for her race. If anything she uplifts her race. Have you ever see her act in a movie where she didn’t represent the Black Women in a positive light. If she wants to wear a wig bc she likes it let her. (Not to mention the whites are paying her bills.). And in order for her to show her true self or intention she might have to give into the dominent. There are white women rocking cornrows everywhere bc of her. If she didn’t make you mad you wouldn’t talk about how great she was. If this is the case every black women is a sell out, just bc she went blonde for a week. Is Tyra Banks a sellout? Also respects to Jay but dawg your wife is straight FINE.

Jason 04.25.09 at 7:35 pm

Also that Spears chick went bald for a week africans did that first. Did she sell out. Nope her people just gave a bunch of excuses and sad stories. And her next album I’m sure was number 1, i don’t listen to that crap so idk, but i’m pretty sure of it. Learn to support our greatest and don’t ever call her a White Women again. Who would represent our people better than her??

Ewbar 04.25.09 at 7:58 pm

Jason, thanks for your reply. I’m not sure you are getting the point of the discussions. I don’t think anyone implied that she was a sell out. There is harmful things going on in the world, and one of them is African self hate. That is what we are saying.

Jason 04.25.09 at 8:22 pm

Well Ewbar Your Welcome!!! You Say Self Hate is a problem, our president is black how much more of confidence boost do you think people need. Right now definitely is not the time to pull that card. I believe and even a poll would show African Moral is up. If everyone went with your theory, I’ll be running around with a spear, hunting buffalo in the Great Plains, singing spirtuals, just to show you I love myself. I believe my people doing that was great and helped them with thier problems. Some of your post have great messages but this black women hate thing is bull. If i wear a european suit, or hell put a jheri curl in my hair do I hate myself??? I seem to recall a great black men rocking parts in their hair. I’m sure they hate themselves too -sarcasm- Judge people by the stuff in their heart not by their hair. better yet just don’t.

BY the Way Homie I’m A Beast

Ewbar 04.25.09 at 8:36 pm

Well, here’s the thing Jason… when you have little girls and older women who have NEVER seen their real hair, or can’t remember the last time they were without a perm there’s a problem. For what other reason other than hate would you never want to see your real self? There’s science fiction monsters that break and destroy mirrors because they see themselves in it and think they look hideous! If you do not like the reflection you see you do whatever you can to change it.

As I’ve said before, if a girl was in a box for 20 plus years with no connection to the outside world, when she gets out of that box a perm isn’t what’s on her mind. She could care less about a perm! So why is it that 80% of African American women living outside of the box feel a perm is necessary when its not? Self hate. And I don’t blame them. This is not a finger pointing session. We need to recognize it and get to the bottom of the problem to fix it.

Jason 04.25.09 at 8:56 pm

Okay you’re really starting to annoy me. I can argue this subject with valid points all day and you still wouldn’t get the point. That stuff you just put out is bull and you know it. I don’t want to waste my time disputing it and leaving you falbergasted. But that was retarded. Come Harder Next Time. You Can Do Better.

Let’s just say .
Who are you to say what is cultural now adays.
I wasn’t there when the afro was in.
I was here when dudes rocked braids, tell me should i rock cornrows.
We do watever fits us that gets us the american dream but keep our morales alive
You can love your race and still rock you hair any way you like.
Kanye rocks a mullet dawg first black guy i ever seen do that.

Ewbar 04.25.09 at 9:09 pm

Jason, you inspired a new post. I’d like to see your answer. It’s called “What is the American Dream?”

Jason 04.25.09 at 9:19 pm

That’s easy Wealth and Respect

My father tells me wealth is measured by the person you ask. He tells me we are wealthy bc we are all healthy and love each other. My cousin once said ” I’m not sad about being poor. I’m just upset that every family doesn’t have what we have.”

Respect is the same way, staying above peer presure keeps the respect of your elders. Living at peer pressure keeps you at respect with your peers. And other’s say it’s how much lucre

Jason 04.25.09 at 9:26 pm

and if you want to be respected by all just Fuck It. Stop caring and do what you want. But take responsibility for everything you do. The ups and downs will come but at the life term the respect will definitely be there.

Talia PanamenaNegra 04.27.09 at 2:12 pm

great article

what? 04.29.09 at 10:19 pm

I agree with this post. I am a dark skinned black girl and I notice that a lot of actresses have look whiter to get better roles. They have to get thinner, lighter, their hair has to be straighter or lighter. Or they need to be mixed looking. I think it sends a terrible message. Hollywood needs to respect all forms of beauty. There is nothing wrong with expressing yourself through dress, speech, or musical tastes but when it isn’t coming from the heart that is a problem.

InnyVinny 05.01.09 at 2:13 pm

Who crowned Beyonce the most beautiful?

All I see is harsh lighting vs dim lighting in your comparison shots. And is there any conceivable way that she could be wearing her hair straight other than self-hatred? Maybe she just likes it that way.

Ewbar 05.02.09 at 1:19 am

InnyVinny, I just visited your blog. Cool stuff. As far your question, I go back to my box theory. You’re new so maybe you haven’t heard it yet. But it goes like this:

African girl in a box 20 something years.
Girl let out the box for 1st time since birth.
What does girl do?
Would girl perm instinctively without any influence from society telling her that straight hair is beautiful?

“Maybe she just likes it that way” true, but why? What’s the motive behind the actions?

Jen 05.21.09 at 11:47 pm

I don’t want to go off topic here but I want to know Ewbar, how would you like to see Black people dress?

I’ve seen your other posts so I know where your coming from but while you have no issues to shouting what the problem is, in the same breath I haven’t heard a solution. You have problems with the shoes we wear and an even bigger problem with the way we wear our hair, so what good is it when you say we shouldn’t do one thing but give no resolution. Personally I go back and forth from a perm to braids and, as far as the shoes go, I have a closet full but I have far more in books. So while my closet is full, so is my mind…and they both keep getting fuller.

Desirae 06.05.09 at 4:28 pm

man this is a bunch of bull how can u even say this. Dieing her hair is her choice. And thank u jason for setting Ewwbar or wutever da f#*k his name is

Vemming 06.17.09 at 2:04 pm

Perming is not evidence of wanting to be white in ALL instances. Many young girls who are attending college perm their hair or grow dreadlocks because its easier to manage. You have to get off your high horse and subliminal messages in EVERY little action. Perhaps your unaware that white women and black MEN perm their hair too. Perhaps you should address that. Because your post seems to be ever dogging the black woman, serving as an “I told you so!”-excuse for black men who have married white women and are looking to vent.
HOTEP!

Tiara 07.12.09 at 3:33 pm

Another late post. I am not a huge fan of Beyonce. Personally, I think she is the product of great marketing and not the greatest of singers. She is pretty, I’ll give her that and it helped. What many of ya’ll may not know is that Beyonce publicly said that sometime she wished she were hispanic. Yup. Most beautiful Black woman doesn’t want to be Black half of the time. I feel she was much more beautiful when DC first came out. Very little to no weave was becoming of her. I liked her look. To everyone who contines to say that we’re hating on her, that is so not the case. I say it about Tyra Banks who seems to be extra pro-black but never wears her hair natural. All wigs/weave/blonde all the time it seems. “So, she makin money tho”…and? What’s your point. B/c they are successful we can’t say anything? That may be the thing though. They are successful because the are fitting the White aesthetic and the White community is embracing them more than their own. Back to B. Why L’Oreal? Why not Dark and Lovely or Fashion Fair (black woman’s make-up)?

Tiara 07.12.09 at 3:36 pm

I know my post is almost a contradiction to another post I made about hair. But here’s the difference. Straightening your hair is one thing. Dying your hair is one thing. But when it becomes your 24/7 look it does make me wonder. I’ve had my hair blondish brown just to see how it looked (it looked good btw lol) and i keep my hair straightened so it is combable. But when someone like Beyonce is doing it and then turns around and SAYS she wishes she were Hispanic (admiring the culture, the look and the flair) and makes a point to do a deluxe album of Spanish versions of her song, it makes you ask WHY? What is the draw B?

Flaca 07.24.09 at 6:22 pm

…She didn’t get in the industry to be a fuckin’ social worker. So she perms her hair and wears lace front wigs…so she chooses certain ad campaigns over others. So? Personally, as a black woman I find that Fashion Fair is out-dated, and doesn’t blend well with my skin. I’m sure there’s some who would say the opposite, but regardless…she’s living HER life. If you don’t like it, live yours BETTER. Perms didn’t start with this woman…and yeah, “self-hate” may have played a role in the beginning of perms, but ultimately it’s a choice. There are plenty of beautiful black women who wear natural styles…but we don’t ALL have to. Point blank, B, Tyra and other prominent black women are not martyrs…
Try again.

Tiffany 07.25.09 at 7:22 am

wow. why the way beyonce wears her hair affecting some of ya’ll so much?? i’m a biracial girl and i perm my hair. i could keep it natural but i don’t want it that way bcz it’s too hard to manage and i like a straighter look. that does not make me WANT TO BE WHITE. that makes me like a straighter look and can’t deal and don’t have the time or patience to deal with my hair! lol. when white people get a tan do they want to be black, or is it just bcz they like their skin a little darker?? and i personally say to white people, yes tan your skin. i think a white person looks so much better with tan skin. beyonce is a very pretty black girl that likes to have straight hair and dye it dark blonde sometimes. she has worn her hair black many times. ya’ll think people are going to wear their hair in an afro in today’s time?? if you want to see that i suggest you move to africa. mary j. blige wears her hair blonde sometimes. although i think it’s not the right blonde color for her complexion, i do not look at her and think “omg, she wants to be white!” yes it looks like b has maybe bleached a little to clean up her skin, and maybe got a bit of a nose job, but that’s her problem if she sees imperfections with herself. it’s not OUR problem. either way i think she was beautiful in DC and how she looks presently. she was born very pretty.

Tiffany 07.25.09 at 7:31 am

also i don’t think b wants to even look white. i think she wants to look PRETTIER. and people like her, tyra banks, lil kim, and millions of black women think straight hair and a small nose are very pretty. i think so too. straight hair and a small nose could belong to any race. the indian race, white, hispanic, mixed, asian. people think when you change your look to that you want to be white. no that is just what a majority think is pretty. THIS COUNTERACTS ALL THESE “WANT TO BE WHITE” THEORIES”: HOW COME MANY, MANY WHITE GIRLS, FAMOUS AND NON FAMOUS, GET THEIR NOSE DONE AND STRAIGHTEN THEIR CURLY HAIR?? DOES THAT MAKE THEM WANT TO BE WHITE?? HOW CAN IT WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO IT’S NOT A RACE SOMEONE IS TRYING TO LOOK LIKE BUT A CERTAIN LOOK/IDEAL. and that is a personal problem. not a race problem.

Tiffany 07.25.09 at 7:38 am

“how destructive her actions are.” D, are you serious??! your comment makes less sense than ewbar’s. at least i can understand what ewbar is saying but he has it twisted into race. it’s just a look every race wants to look like, as i already explained in my last post. but ure saying beyonce is destructive?? all she wants to do is make money and make music. she’s not a civil rights leader and never claimed to be so.

Giveitup 07.31.09 at 3:26 am

You guys may not realize it, but the white media has got you all hypnotized! They have changed your perception of true beauty with constant images of white girls with blonde, straight hair. Why do you do this? ….Because you think guys would like you better if you look like white girls. Hell, black guys who become famous will start to date white girls, example: tiger woods and ice tea. While you may deny these facts, you know you’re envious towards the white girls.

Kudos to the author of this lil article as he has hit all the important points of what black girls today represent.

SlightSkin 08.04.09 at 11:04 am

its only hair….???

Flaca 08.13.09 at 9:50 am

@Giveitup…take your screen name’s advice. Those men married white women cause that’s what they felt like doing…that’s who they fell in love with or felt like dealing with. Really trying guilt trip women into thinking they hate themselves is ridiculous…enough already!!!
: ) agreed@”It’s just hair…”

Jason 08.29.09 at 9:00 pm

hahaha…..I love black women man…..surprised yall didn’t beat on GIVEITUP more…….but itz cool…..to all single black women I will love you if u wear dog hair…..i’ll be skeptical but i’ll still love u…..the fire in u all is wat separates you all from the rest….not your hair or your BUTT….just the way you all stay true n real, n always say wat u mean….but a educated black women thats speaks her mind….just blows my mind…..wish it was more of yall…

Jason 08.29.09 at 9:03 pm

P.S a tall sexy latino with flame is just as good….hit me up on the celly

J 08.30.09 at 5:17 pm

So what? Beyonce wants to look more white and so do MOST black women. That’s why they straighten their hair and uses extensions. Black woman hair doesn’t look like that. When is the last time you seen a black woman with an afro? Exactly. Black men like white women and will only date a black if she’s “got her weave on right”. No perm, no love! Black females put all kinds of God awful chemicals in their hair every day just to look like the cute white chick next door. Black hair ain’t meant to blow in the wind! You all doing all you can to look like white people. Why shouldn’t Beyonce? Anyway only a piss poor businessperson would cater to blacks. Blacks don’t wanna pay for anything. They’d rather steal and bootleg everything they own. Look at all these rappers that gotta run drugs on the side just to keep up appearances. Every car and every piece of bling belongs to the local Rent-a-center. You can’t make a living with blacks as your fan base. Go head Beyonce! White it up!

Salome 11.06.09 at 11:47 am

Media tricked you all.

Read Toni Morrison’s “The Bluest Eye”

Frankie 11.15.09 at 10:46 am

Reading everyone’s “opinions” just goes to show how diverse we all are. There is much more to being black, white, or any other race than how one looks. Whatever your race you are human and have the right to do whatever you want to your own person. No one has to look the way someone else believes you should. Don’t you have something better to do? Have you polled every black person on the planet? Most of you are so narrow minded and aren’t not using good common sense. But you know what they say — “Common Sense isn’t Common”. As far as Tiger Woods or Ice-Tea or any other black, white, or multicultural person is concerned — they are of mixed race, who are to decide that they should marry a black, white, Asian, or whatever…. Most people who critize others and just angry or confused about themselves. People who live their lives through entertainers should try to get a life and live their own. Grow people! Wear your hair the way you choose. One more thing – as far as Beyonce’ wishing to be Hispanic…so what. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be black. Do you educated people even realize that there are black Hispanics? People please educate yourselves before you speak or write. Get a life!!!!!!

person 11.20.09 at 4:48 am

well i agree…the world is so white conscious these days. people everywhere think that the way to look good is by having what people like hitler glorified. blonde hair, blue eyes and light skin. it is a form of hatred cuz it is men like hitler who were dark eyed and dark haired that thought that being blonde and blue eyed wuz d ideal race.

if women that were suppose to be powerful and be proud of their roots as a people, why are they trying so hard to look like a white person? african hair is so beautiful and i hate the image that society is portraying to these young girls today…i mean what r our daughters gonna think when they grow up? are they gonna try to look white too?

Xfactor 11.25.09 at 7:45 am

I think we are missing the point that Ewbar was trying to make. For years we as a people have been told that everything black is ugly. From hair to skin color,to nose size. All these natrual features God Given. But the real truth to the matter is that Beyonce is gonna be who her fan and mainstream media wants her to be.As you guys say( She`s Getting Paid).Another is the fact that most African American woman in the business world find it hard to land a white collar job with natrual hair. Its look at as a joke.Ewbar you would never be able to make them understand your reasoning. But i think i get XFACTOR ONE…..

me 12.03.09 at 12:36 pm

I’m sorry, but I’m just not getting why one believes that African American’s hate themselves. It’s even crazy that I came across this website, because I was just looking up something about Steve Harvey. The name was an attention getter, and I’m assuming that that was the reason why the name was chosen. Nevertheless, I here! I need to be enlightned because maybe, just maybe, I am missing something. I’m taking it as if, you are saying black women in particular, have a deep rooted problem from way back, that has allowed us to believe that having straight hair and not their natural hair is beautiful. Now if this is the case, then that I believe. However, the Black Women of now, need to not be at fault and unless someone of higher power makes up their mind that sell of wigs, perm, weave, etc. are no longer to be sold, then there is nothing that no one can do about it. To add, I’m pretty sure that there are black woman who have gone natural and do believe in this, have plenty self hatred for a lot of reasons. NOT saying all just some!! I still would like to be enlightened.

cheneep 12.12.09 at 12:31 pm

Many whites sit out in the sun burning the fat of their bacon. but this DOES NOT mean they want to be Blacks. At the end of the day the secretary doesn’t say the boss is out for nth time when porky brown shows up for that interview.
Same as when they stuff the family’s car tires in their lips to make em look full.
Black folks got it going on, we don’t need to look like an extra in the bliar witch project.

barb!e*k!ller 01.11.10 at 12:45 pm

I personally feel that people are entitled to do whatever they want with themselves as long as they have genuine intentions. For instance I regularly wear wigs , I just like the versatility and how they look.I am not trying to be white!!! I know my black history and am confident in who I am, not just as a young Black woman, but as a person. Now if a person wears wigs or weave, uses perms and dyes their hair blond because they ‘hate their black nappy hair’ then there is something wrong with that. As far as Beyonce is concerned,I don’t think she hates herself, she is just doing this to sell records. Many famous minorities feel that in order to ‘cross over’ and become universally popular not just liked by blacks, they have to ‘look more white’, so they dye their hair blond, straighten it and or make their skin lighter. I don’t think that is self hate it’s more of a lack of integrity… It’s not okay, but it’s the truth, Majority rules and as long as whites run almost all of the industries, we will continue to see European influences in beauty… Freedom is what you do with what you have been given.

Cheneep 01.12.10 at 7:44 am

First whites are not the world majority. They DO NOT have the last word on beauty. India Arie amongst other Black Women does not do this mess to be accepted etc. If you think that this does not amount to self hate, what can I say.
Like Ewbar says in “A Black and white difference, what’s the difference between Africans and Europeans?” ANSWER: They DO us to CLOWN and we do the FOR REAL!

Controversial messiah 01.27.10 at 1:25 am

you all know what?….This light skin stuff is something we all have to get over with because i could see back in the day the lighter you were the closer you were to the slave masters house, but we aren’t in slavery anymore..some of you are just enslaved into a ignorant way of thinking. The lighter your skin is has nothing to do with it. No matter how light you are you are still black and treated the same as any other black.Beyonce can not help who she is….Just like a dark skin woman can’t help who she is. We are all human beings ,and just because your alter your nose doesn’t mean your trying to keep from being blacks…it can simply mean there was something that you didn’t like and you wanted to change it. Ethiopians are africans with beautiful hair and a narrow nose, and some are light…you mean to tell me that they are not black???……My point is dont’ judge a person by the color of their skin, but their character.

DEBS 01.31.10 at 4:07 pm

i know i ALSO FUCKING HATE WHEN BLACK PEOPLE DEFEND THAT BLACK BITCH, ITS REALITY, FACE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS BLACK TRYING TO BE WHITE. IN HER VIDEOS SHE TRIES.. IN THE LOREAL COMMERCIAL.. SHE ALSO DOES HER VIDEOS BLAK N WHITE TO MAKE HER SEEM WHITE… AND THEN SHE DIES HER HAIR BLONDE TOO.. WTF.
