The National Basketball Association has went belly up! All of the African American players have decided to quit letting rich white men make money off of their athletic strengths, and have decided to make the money themselves!
These players have put their money together and have plans of building their OWN stadiums! All deals with sports paraphernalia is off as well. New Era, Nike, Reebok, etc., will no longer make money off of African American sweat. Instead, there is word that Russell Simmons, Bill Cosby, Michael Jordan, Spike Lee, John Singleton, Oprah, and a list of other African Americans have started to open companies in urban areas to provide jobs making these items. We hear word that the MLB and NFL have been having talks to follow this lead.
In other news President Obama has begin to focus on the African American reparations. He has a press conference scheduled to discuss how he doesn’t understand how it is 3 generations after slavery and no word of reparations has been mentioned.
Also, following the brilliant effort of Oprah Winfrey, more African American celebrities are putting there focus on helping Africa. We hear that they feel at the LEAST they could do is put money together to help get clean water and plumbing going so families don’t have to walk 5 miles for clean water.

that’d be a dream come true. if we could have a collective “goal board”, all those things should be on it. i feel like reparations should wait til more of us are educated enough to make good use of them, but i also know that they’d never come until we can come together to make a solid case for receiving them, so i shouldn’t be concerned. one development would take care of the other.

Being broke doesn’t mean you can’t help! The way the world is set up it wants you to believe that, but in reality, every book you read that educates you more is help enough. When you learn your history and where you come from and what you’ve been through, that’s helping!
