That’s the reason I say no one takes us serious. For one, we can’t even express what it is we are thinking clearly. And two, how do you take someone serious if they don’t take themselves serious? If Malcolm X (El Hajj Malik Shabazz) was giggling and high and looked like a clown do you think he would’ve been taken seriously? If he didn’t care to educate himself and learn to express himself how serious would he have been taken.

I can hear the readers now, “I ain’t trying to be no Malcolm X, though.” His shoes are a big pair to fill, but at the least you should want to be respected as a human being. As long as we clown around people will associate us with monkeys!
