Is Nas Proud That the KKK Lynched Blacks?

Nas

I only have one question:

In a country where your people were hung less than 70 years ago, REGULARLY, at what point does a rope around your neck seem appealing?

Somehow I feel there’s some older white men somewhere having a laugh and saying to themselves, “those dumb niggers!”

Side note: Rappers, enough with the tough guy looks. It really looks silly more than gangsta. It’s time to start looking like someone who has some sense.

To answer the post title question, I seriously doubt it!

Wait, did I miss something or is this post based on Nas wearing a rope chain?

Nas is so old school, he needs some time to let go of the old weapons of rhyming. The album he chose was in fact waiting for a backlash. But being the poet he is, Nas is simply making the reality a sarcastic look from a black man’s point of view. I appreciate what you preach, but I’m just saying Nas has shown throughout his career that he addresses issues with criticism of what mainstrean is trying to avoid.

Exactly. Appreciate is the word. I definitely see what you’re saying, and if is this was a different rapper, then I might agree with is a little more, but Nas’s last album speaks for itself. Nas definitely would not agree with the title of this post. It’s a bit of a stretch, for me.

No, rapper Nas is definitely more of a 50 50 rapper. He does almost balance his bull with his positivity. I think the question is solely based on the jewelry. I’m sure he isn’t proud of the lynching, but I think the question is why do rappers wear lynching chains?

The chain definatley came across the guys head, no question about it. Why the F else is he rocking the Jesus chain and calling himself god’s son? He is in fact a freedom fighter whether you acknowledge it or not. His long fought battle with a guy who calls himself J-Hova is enough to tell you what he stands for. Please don’t use a slight misunderstanding to turn a man who dedicates himself to his people to be a wrongdoer.

What if we went all the way back to Africa and saw that Gold was wore as measures of royalty. The more gold the Higher you were in political status. We just don’t realize why we do what we do. Its in us to be Kingly. We just got our motives twisted.

Jewelry, yes. The point of this is the rapper ropes. Tomorrow if rappers started wearing platinum feet and hand shackles you’d have to question what was going on. Or if Louis Vuitton KKK dress came in style, you’d have to question what was going on.
